Northeast Regional Engagement Center
Bridging the University with Northeast Colorado
At the Northeast Regional Engagement Center, we convene conversations, build community partnerships and facilitate connections to CSU faculty and research. Our role is local – engaging, serving and working in partnership to co-create on the needs in our communities.
Current Programs
Aging Mastery Program
Through our regional delivery of our Aging Mastery Program, students learn about an approach to living that embraces the gift of longer life. Aging Mastery is a 10-session series of 90-minute classes. Adults ages 50 and over can join a weekly discussion group about a range of participant-suggested topics or join one of our Life-Long Learning Series lectures.
Convening Stakeholders
One of the priority issues reported by stakeholders in northeast Colorado, as negatively impacting families and the social and economic fabric of communities, is substance abuse. Quarterly, NREC convenes stakeholders in the northeast region for updates on the mobile opioid treatment unit’s work and continued outreach in communities.
