Greg Felsen

Accessible Education Specialist: Western Colorado Region

Greg has spent more than twelve years with Colorado State University Extension, starting in La Plata County as a 4-H & Youth Development educator and more recently as an Extension Director & Educator in Montezuma County.

Beginning in 2022, in support of the Rural Initiative, Greg will be working on establishing a Collaborative Campus in Southwestern Colorado with higher education partner Pueblo Community College. His work will also focus on creating a Tribal Educator position in partnership with the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe in this region. The goal of both initiatives is to provide greater access and equitability to higher education and land-grant university resources to better support rural Coloradans.

Prior to joining CSU, Greg served in the U.S. Peace Corps from 2005 to 2007, working in Lesotho, Africa. This opportunity shaped his path in community development work, specifically working with underserved communities. Greg is a member of the National Association of Community Development Extension Professionals. Greg looks to use the skills he has gained to positively contribute to all rural communities in the western region.
